CARVOEIRO
Carvoeiro is a picturesque resort built into a steep hillside giving excellent views of the surrounding countryside. As an old fishing village, the resort has retained much of its original charm and you can enjoy peaceful walks by the harbour, or through the cobbled streets of the resort's centre. The streets are narrow, and can be quite steep, and have lots of interesting little shops with good local wares.
The small beach in front of the town square is surrounded by a good choice of cafes and restaurants and there is often live music and cultural events on offer in the summer months.
Further along the coast there are several other beaches giving plenty of opportunity for quiet relaxing days in the sun. Carvalho, Marinha, Albedira, Centianes and Benagil are all nearby and have their own individuality.
Carvoeiro is definitely a relaxing location and perfect for a very easy going holiday for all.
