PRAIA da ROCHA

 

Bustle, beach and bags of fun – that's the long and short of holidays in Praia da Rocha. Golden sand stretching as far as the eye can see, with towering rock formations framing the beach and this beach is truly superb! Caves, tunnels and arches sculpted from red and yellow sandstone lead to idyllic sandy coves, and beach facilities abound. The boardwalk meanders along passing plenty of  beach bars offering welcome drinks and light meals.

Pulsing with energy on the clifftops high above the beach lies the town itself. Restaurants from every corner of the world. Shops selling everything from beach gear to designer wear. The casino offers nightly shows in high season and there are pubs and clubs galore for those wanting to live it up after a relaxing day on the beach.

 

The marina area is overlooked by the remains of an old fort and the views from here towards Ferragudo are spectacular.

Family fun and plenty of action is Praia da Rocha’s style and for many people that’s what makes a good holiday destination a great one.
